We are all aware of the difficulties learners have in focusing their attention in the classroom. To capture the attention of their learners, teachers or trainers must constantly renew themselves. The Covid-19 health crisis has amplified the need to put in place innovative teaching methods to support professionals in the field of education. To this end, we have created an immersive escape game called "Seal the Deal": an immersion in the heart of road freight transport exploitation.

The learners will have 60 minutes maximum to gather their skills in order to satisfy the call for tender of a demanding client. She wants a quality service delivery, while reducing the carbon footprint of the operation, on a tight budget. Accept the challenge and have fun!

All teachers want their learners to be able to apply in practice the knowledge they have acquired during their training. The use of digital tools can also give the impression that the exercise is individual, and that it will be complicated to accompany the knowledge acquired by each person... but we provide a scenario developed around several factors, with systematic debriefing at each stage of the key elements that needed to be identified and consolidated. That's the whole point of this "Seal the Deal" escape game!

All learners will be able to play in front of their computer; whether they are introverts or extroverts, everyone can take part in the game.

In the e-ManTRA escape game " Seal the Deal ", the scenario developed by AFT Transport & Logistique attempts to recreate a " classic day in the life of a transport company ". But with an additional pressure for the player-operator: his transport manager has to receive a customer, at the transport company's offices, who needs a quotation for the transport of 119 tonnes of sand. But the transport manager is faced with a number of problems encountered by his drivers in the early hours of the morning. He has to deal with them and will not be able to accommodate the customer. He calls the operator (player) to ask him to come to the company as soon as possible, so that he can be at the customer's disposal and meet her needs. It will then be up to our player to listen, take notes, ask the right questions to properly analyse the service requested. What a great challenge for a learner at the end of a level 5 course!

e-ManTRA escape game visualThe game is based on several scenarios (transport offers to be analysed and sorted). The computer helps the learner by keeping the selected data in readable files. The skills acquired during the training, together with the notes taken, will enable the learner to respond to the client. But beware, the game responds to a demanding request that calls for detailed answers!

Are you ready to analyse, estimate and propose the best possible service that fits within your client's budget? Are you ready to satisfy your manager and your client? All you have to do is "Seal the deal"!
It's up to you to take up the challenge!

In order for you to play this escape game, e-ManTRA's Swedish partner StageIT, responsible for the development of the game, ensured the immersive approach of the scenario and its playability. They created digital characters for the dialogues and produced many different facial expressions and body movements, as close to reality as possible. For example, when the player responds to the client, his body language makes it clear if the answers are not to his liking.

StageIT also spent a lot of time on the soundscape of the office environment, such as printers, phones and the chatter of colleagues, which creates a sense of immersion in the game. This feeling is reinforced by the fact that the player character is not visible or audible at any point, which means that any player, regardless of gender or background, can identify with the character.
