The e-ManTRA project was initiated in autumn 2020 in the wake of the Corona crisis and the abrupt transition to 100% distance learning. AFT, a French professional organisation in Transport and Logistic and project coordinator, brought together six other complementary partners, including private and public educational institutions and an SME specialised in the development of gamified pedagogical software to prepare Transport & Logistics (T&L) vocational training for digital education.
Specifically, the e-ManTRA project focuses on the training of transport managers at level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), as this person plays a central role in T&L companies by managing the organisation of transport, drivers and customer relations. The main objectives of the project are:
- to equip these trainings across Europe with effective and inclusive training resources and tools,
- to propose innovative teaching methods to ensure distance and online learning, continuous monitoring of learners and assessment of learning outcomes achieved.
Thanks to the project results, we intend to:
- Guide learners, teachers and trainers for an optimised digital learning experience
- Improve digital education readiness by providing free and inclusive online tools and innovative resources to training providers
- Enable flexible combinations of distance learning, blended learning and in-class teaching
- Increase the use of digital tools and resources in vocational training
